It was a wonderful day. We started our morning with a drive from Parry Sound to Sudbury through crazy downpours accompanied by incredibly close lightning and thunder that rumbled the van to its core. Thankfully the further north we travelled, the brighter the skies became. We reached Sudbury around 11am and by that time the skies were overcast, but not dropping any rain.Amber competed in the long jump at 1:30 this afternoon. The whole family was there to cheer her on as she jumped her 4.60 metre jump. We were excited to be able to watch her compete and experience the thrill of being the sole King's Christian representative at this OFSAA track and field meet.
It was a well-organized event and it was a great experience for Amber. She was cool as a cucumber before and during the competition and she is very happy with her results. Placing 16th in all of Ontario is something to be proud of. We thank God for blessing her with the many gifts she has and we pray that He'll receive all the glory.
