Party Time with the Ladies

Taylor had a couple friends over for a party to celebrate the big 1-3!  Abby and Christina came after school to enjoy some time together doing girl stuff...shopping, watching a movie, eating party food and just giggling and having fun together.  They slept over night and went to Camp Courageous at TBC together the next day...but not until they spent some time doing what little girls do best...double dutch!  Beautiful girls having a beautiful time.

Easter Weekend 2010

One of our favourite places to walk around Burlington is down by the lake.  There are wonderful trails all along the lakeshore.  Today we went roller-blading on the trail just on the Hamilton side of the Skyway, but yesterday we walked along the trail and spent some time just enjoying the sunshine and the breeze.  There were a lot of people out and about and there were even a few boats on the water.  This Easter weekend it has felt like summer with temperatures around 25 degrees.  The magnolia blooms are already opening and the grass is turning so green.  There are bumble bees and lots of lady bugs.  I had fun watching this particular lady bug sun itself on the rocks by the beach.  There were so many different breeds of dogs walking their owners and people enjoying the ice cream and outdoor patio restaurants along the way.  We heard some great messages at church this weekend, from both pastor Joe Boot as well as our own pastor, but we have also had a beautiful time of fun and relaxation with the family, enjoying the outdoors, quiet walks, basketball, tennis, badminton, rollerblading, and movie watching...we did it all.  What a refreshing weekend.  We are so blessed!

Tired Teen

I am just having fun editing pictures.  Took this one of Taylor today while she was resting from all the action.

Tulip Time

This picture is from my Lindsay garden...hopefully I'll see some tulips come up this year.  Those rotten squirrels ate a lot of my bulbs last fall!

Back Yard

This spring we are enjoying our newly landscaped yard.  With all the nice weather we have been having, the kids have been playing a variety of sports out there.  Today Rick put up the badminton net and we had our first official "tournament" of the year.  Well, not exactly official...I'm not really sure who won, but we sure had fun!  For some reason Levi liked using Rick's squash racquet...it seemed to help his game!
