Party Time

It is Canada Day weekend...the weekend when sister-in-law Caroline throws a party to celebrate Canada's birthday, but also that of Brian and Daniel. So, this morning we ventured up to Orillia with the holiday weekend traffic to join some of our family for a sunny day at Opa and Oma's. The weather was lovely and the company was great. A wonderful time was had by all. (We even managed to catch a glimpse of the Snow Birds as they put on a show this afternoon.)

Graduation 2012

The long awaited day finally came and is now history...

LEVI GRADUATED FROM GRADE 8!!!

We had a lovely evening yesterday, celebrating the God-given gifts of 37 wonderful young people. There was a lovely grad dinner with a very warm grad ceremony to follow. There was a delicious downpour during the service, and the temperature dropped to a wonderful "comfortable" for the after grad congratulatory reception line. We thank all the family that came to witness this exciting evening and share in Levi's special night!

As a parent, I am so thankful for the faithful, loving teachers that have poured their lives into my son's education (both at Trinity, and HCS in Lindsay.) I feel very blessed that my children can attend a Christian school where Christ is the centre and the Bible is the guide.

Levi received not only his diploma, but also the academic award and a very special Memorial award. It was a lovely evening and one I'm sure he'll remember for a life-time.

The End of Track 2012

Okay, track has been over for a while, but I got so wrapped up in the busy events of the season, that I forgot to post results for the last few track meets! Shame on me...sorry kids!

Amber and Taylor had an exciting and character building time at GHAC. Taylor ran the 100m, placed 6th in long jump with a jump of 4.24m, and then came in 3rd in triple jump with a jump of 9.60m. Amber participated in the 100m, running it in 13.18s, she also did the long jump and triple jump.
Amber came in 1st place for triple jump, with a personal best jump of 10.50m!!!! (hence the pic with the medal!)

The girls both went to South Regionals for Triple jump, but that rainy, windy day was where their track season came to an end. They had a FANTASTIC season, trained faithfully and posted some personal bests, so we are very, very proud of them!!!

Levi and David had a great day at the TCS track meet. From there, they both went on to the Christian School District track meet held in Brantford. It was there that Levi competed in the 400m and had an amazing run, placing 6th! David participated in ball throw, the 75m dash, and the shuttle relay. His relay team came in 3rd place.

We are very thankful to God for blessing us with lovely weather and keeping us all safe. We are also very thankful for all the wonderful, encouraging, and dedicated coaches that helped them along the way!
It was a another wonderful season for the kids to use their athletic abilities to give glory to God. Well done!
